Green Executives is a dedicated executive search partner to the renewable energy and sustainability sector. The team represents significant sector experience with access to AI tools, big data resources and specialist marketing services.

Since our foundation in 2013, we have worked in close partnership across the entire renewable energy project lifecycle. Our specialist search partners have access to large talent pools on a global basis with experience in all the major renewable technologies including solar, wind, geothermal, hydropower and green hydrogen in addition to being specialists across the ESG, private equity and sustainability space.

With headquarters in London and offices in Beijing, New York, Orlando, Sydney, Cape Town, Madrid and Amsterdam, Green Executives is undergoing a period of rapid international growth which is expected to accelerate over the next 18 months.

Having grown the group from a global headcount of 20 to 100 in the last 2 years, we now have an exciting opportunity for a Partner to join our leadership team in North America.

Working within a candidate centric, retained assignment environment, this role is fundamental in taking responsibility for leading the firm's efforts to identify and recruit top talent for the renewable energy industry across North America. The Partner will be responsible for managing the entire search process, from developing relationships with clients and pitching for mandates to overseeing the shortlisting and presenting of candidates for projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships with clients in the renewable energy industry, including developers, utilities, private equity firms, and other organizations.

  • Identify and evaluate top talent for executive-level positions in the renewable energy industry, including CEO, CFO, COO, and other C-suite positions, as well as VPs and other senior leadership positions.

  • Develop and execute search strategies tailored to each client's specific needs and requirements.

  • Manage the entire search process, including presenting shortlists and facilitating the offer and negotiation process.

  • Provide guidance and support to clients and candidates throughout the search process, including managing communication and addressing any issues that arise.

  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure the success of each search and to develop new business opportunities.

  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and developments, including new technologies and regulations, to ensure the firm remains competitive and relevant in the market.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, engineering, or environmental studies.

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in executive search, with a focus on the renewable energy industry.

  • Strong understanding of the renewable energy industry, including key players, trends, and technologies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, candidates, and team members.

  • Demonstrated success in recruiting and placing top talent in executive-level positions.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address issues that arise during the search process.

  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and candidates.
