Volker Beckers Green Executives Advisory Committee

Volker Beckers

Volker Beckers is the Chairman of the Green Group (Partners) an end to end recruitment solution for the green economy, comprising Green Executives and the Green Recruitment Company.

After graduating from Cologne University in Economics & Business Administration, Volker started his career working in various tech companies, then spent more than 25 years as an international leader within the energy industry, most notably as Group CFO and then Group CEO for RWE/npower for over 9 years to 2010.

Volker now works for a portfolio of private companies of different sizes as non-Executive Director/Chair, as well as working on the board with government bodies such as the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) Board, and as a guest lecturer in academia such as for Imperial College London. He sits as Chair of the Advisory Board with Erasmus Centre for Future Energy Business (ECFEB), a specialist research center at Rotterdam School of Management and was appointed Chairman of the Advisory Group of ewi – the Energy Institute of the University of Cologne in 2019.

Tove Feld Green Executives Advisory Committee

Tove Feld

Tovehas more than 25 years’ experience at the forefront of the renewables sector, with a focus on offshore wind.

Her previous roles include Chief Technology Officer at DONG Energy Wind Power (now Orsted) where she had a prominent role in preparing the company for IPO, as well as Head of Engineering Solutions Offshore, Siemens Wind Power and Managing Director of DNV Global Wind Energy.

Board experience ranges from Technology startups to listed Renewable investment companies. She currently serves on several boards supporting the green transition.  Including TRIG (FTSE 250), Venterra Group plc, YARA International ASA, Stiesdal, NEXEL, FORCE Technology and CEKO Sensors.  She is also a member of the Board of Representatives at the Danish Technical University.

She is a UF Engineering Graduate (USA) with a Ph.D from Aalborg University (Denmark) and Executive MBA from IMD (Switzerland).

Andy Cox - Green Executives

Andy Cox

Andy Cox is a seasoned professional with almost three decades of experience in the energy sector. He currently serves as the Head of Energy Transition at Howden Group, Chief Impact Officer of the Forward Institute and as a Non-Executive Director of the Energy & Infrastructure team at Browne Jacobson LLP.

As a Senior Partner with KPMG he led the energy and natural resources sector. As a Deal Advisory partner Andy advised on many major transactions in energy, infrastructure and low carbon.

Throughout his career, Andy has developed a reputation for his ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, partners, and investors. He has a deep understanding of the energy industry and the challenges it faces, and he uses this knowledge to develop effective solutions that meet the needs of his clients.

Luc Poyer - Green Executives Advisory Committee

Luc Poyer

With 25 years experience in the energy sector, Luc Poyer is chairman of the Board of McPhy, one of the leading manufacturers of Hydrogen equipment in the EU. He joined McPhy as a director in 2010.

After starting his professional life as an auditor at the Cour des comptes (Public Audit Office), Luc Poyer held various executive positions from 1998 to 2005 in the Totalenergies group, notably as General Manager of Gasandes, the transandine gas pipeline supplying central Chile from Argentina (2001-2003) and then as head of the Qatargas II integrated LNG project.

As deputy CEO of an alternative energy player from 2006 to 2009, he led the building a portfolio of renewable assets – solar, wind, hydro, biomass- as well the first CCGT’s operating in France.

Between 2009 and 2019, Luc Poyer was CEO of EON France, the third power producer and natural gas supplier in the country

Luc Poyer holds an ESSEC MBA and graduated from the civil service school ENA.

Gareth Miller - CEO of Cornwall Insights

Gareth Miller

Gareth is CEO at Cornwall Insight, following successful careers as an energy project financier for Barclays and as a civil servant at the Department of Energy and Climate Change.Gareth has a strong background in business leadership, based on more than five years of company board level experience, and fifteen years in various senior management roles. In term of market expertise and skills, Gareth is specialist in energy market investment, policy design and option assessment, as well as strategy.
